Scani vs Maybe Finance

Scani is built around consolidating what you already hold. It connects to banks, brokerages, exchanges and on-chain wallets and reconciles them into one portfolio, with arbitrary-precision arithmetic so balances do not drift. It also tracks bills, income and spending categories, but it has no budgets or envelopes.

Broker and bank APIs (Interactive Brokers, Wise, Airwallex), centralized exchanges over read-only API keys (Binance, Kraken, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, KuCoin, Bitget, Gate, Gemini and others), and public on-chain addresses on Bitcoin, Solana, TON, Tron and 13 EVM chains, among them Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base and BNB Chain. Balances refresh on a schedule rather than when you remember to. As a fallback: CSV, OFX, QIF and Interactive Brokers files, PDF statements and screenshots read by AI, and YNAB, Actual Budget and Mint exports.

Both. There is a fully managed SaaS, a flat-rate Cloud API, and a self-host tier, all on the same codebase. From an empty directory, `curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MGrin/scani-oss/main/scripts/self-host.sh | bash` generates its own secrets, applies migrations and brings the stack up on localhost:8080. Every tagged release publishes pre-built multi-arch images for the five services. Bring your own Postgres, Redis and S3-compatible storage, or let the bundled containers handle them. Tier 1 uses your provider keys. Tier 2 keeps your UI, API, worker, database and SeaweedFS S3 on your infrastructure and uses one Scani Cloud key for AI, pricing, token lookup and supported wallet requests. Processing inputs leave your server; durable files and records stay local. Personal exchange and broker credentials remain local.
